In March 2020, seeing the critical shortage of PPE and the vulnerability of those unable to access medical masks, I pivoted my design skills toward community safety. After researching effective barrier methods, I developed a three-layer cloth mask featuring an adjustable nose wire for a secure, functional fit.
What began as a personal project grew into a grassroots distribution of 300 handmade masks. By personally distributing these to neighbors and educating them on proper usage, I aimed to bridge the gap between safety and accessibility. This journey culminated in a digital campaign where I shared DIY tutorials to inspire fellow designers globally, turning a local effort into a broader movement of "design for human life".
