Complexities of Creative mindset

Urge to create something in 3D that can be felt with hand, bursting all the colors ( that are self-visualized) onto the piece of fabric this piece of Art is Inspired by

the pandemic era and has all the materials that are the leftovers in my wardrobe from my college fashion show collection dresses back in 2018. Thought to

create something that reflects back to the creative mindset that was dying to go out and explore, touch, feel, and take inspiration from the colorful natural beauty

of the world, a mental state of mind bursting out into a piece of Art made with the amalgamation of applique and patchwork method with different colors in

materials like fabric felt and Rexine leather giving it a dopamine effect to the viewer.

PAPER

Making

This collection is an experimental study in material memory. It explores the physical transformation of raw pulp and discarded felt fabrics into bespoke, hand-crafted stationery. The goal was to push the boundaries of traditional papermaking by introducing non-traditional fibers to create a unique tactile language.

Mixed MEDIA

I made this project for my Humber Lakeshore capstone, where I was inspired by the unique intersection of natural beauty and historical architecture that defines our campus. Focusing on the Blue Jay, a bird as bold and structural as the red-brick cottages themselves, I wanted to capture the dialogue between the wild and the constructed.

By contrasting the organic, tactile "nest" textures of my weaving with sharp, geometric embroidery lines, I’ve mimicked the intricate Victorian-style windows and rhythmic masonry that have stood on these grounds for over a century. This piece is a tribute to the sanctuary the Lakeshore grounds provide—a place where the rigid history of the architecture meets the untamed, vibrant life of the birds that call it home. It represents my journey as a designer, blending the technical precision of graphic lines with the soulful, "wearable craft" of fiber art.
